The Pokémon Company has announced that a Pokémon Presents presentation is happening next week, on Tuesday, August 8.
It will begin at 6 a.m. PT/9 a.m. ET and run for roughly 35 minutes. The company announced this with a short teaser clip on the official Pokémon Twitter account, and you can watch that for yourself below:

As you can see, the teaser doesn’t reveal too much beyond details of when the Pokémon Presents is happening. However, near its start, there’s an interesting use of purple-pink and neon lighting. Perhaps it’s alluding to Mewtwo or Mew, or maybe to Ryme City from Pokémon Detective Pikachu, which features plenty of neon lighting in the movie. It could be an allusion to Pokémon Black and its neon futuristic Opelucid City.
As for what to expect, it’s likely we’ll get news about The Pokémon Company’s various spinoff games, including the recently released Pokémon Sleep and Pokémon Unite, as well as the upcoming Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. It will consist of two waves: The Teal Mask this fall (making it the likely candidate of what we’ll see in terms of DLC during this Pokémon Presents), and The Indigo Disk this winter.
There’s always the possibility that it’s time for another round of Pokémon remakes. We got Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl in 2021, which makes Gen 5 – Pokémon Black and White – up to bat for remakes next. And late 2023 would line up with previous remake release timing. Maybe we’ll see another Pokémon Legends game as a follow-up to last year’s Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Only time will tell but fortunately, we don’t have to wait too long because Pokémon Presents returns on August 8.
In the meantime, read Game Informer’s Pokémon Scarlet and Violet review and then check out the coolest cards we pulled from packs of Obsidian Flames from Pokémon TCG: Scarlet and Violet.
