Arcade games for one more try

Arcade games ask you to read what is coming and make a move at the right moment. The challenge might be a gap in a jungle track, a tight turn around your own snake, or a stone slab that needs one precise tap. A missed attempt gives you something specific to try differently next time.

Our selection includes three-dimensional lane running, side-scrolling running, steering, dodging and stacking. Pick a control style below rather than guessing from a cover. Every game opens in your browser, on a computer or a phone, with no download required and guest play available.

Dino RushArcade Instant playA 3D dinosaur run on a three-lane jungle track: jump logs and triceratopses, duck pterosaurs, mind the ankylosaurus's tail, dodge the T-rex.

A three-lane jungle run with jumps and ducks. Read the next obstacle early so you can change lanes before you need to act; the 3D view makes the space between obstacles part of the challenge.

Trex RunnerArcade Instant playRex, Mo and friends on an endless prehistoric run: jump the rocks, duck the pterodactyls, grab the golden eggs.

A side-scrolling dinosaur run with rocks, flying obstacles and golden eggs. A clear view of the ground helps you practise the difference between a jump that is early and one that is late.

SnakeArcade Instant playSteer a hungry snake round a walled garden: every apple makes it longer, faster and harder to keep alive.

An apple makes your snake longer and faster, so each reward changes the route you can safely take next. Keep open space ahead and avoid trapping your head behind your own body.

Comet DashArcade Instant playSteer through a meteor storm, catch stars for a multiplier, and dash straight through the rocks in your way.

Steer through a meteor storm, collect stars and use a dash to pass through rocks. Choose a clear route first, then decide whether an extra pickup is worth leaving it.

Rex TowerArcade Instant playDrop sliding stone slabs to build a tower into the night sky — with Rex riding it all the way up.

Drop sliding stone slabs onto the tower. Overhangs are cut away, reducing the target for the next floor. Small, controlled timing adjustments help keep a wider platform for longer.

Which game fits your mood?

For a running game, decide how you like to read obstacles. Dino Rush puts you on a three-lane 3D track. Trex Runner shows a side view, where the timing of a jump or duck is easier to see against the ground. Both reward looking beyond the obstacle directly in front of you.

For steering, Snake makes the route you have already taken part of the problem: every apple lengthens your body. Comet Dash asks you to steer through an asteroid field and choose when to dash. Leave yourself an exit instead of collecting a reward that closes off your safe space.

For a single timing decision at a time, try Rex Tower. Line up the moving slab with the tower beneath it; the part that hangs over is cut away, making the next landing harder. Consistent placements matter more than rushing the first few floors.
