About Dino Chorus
Dino Chorus is a memory game for your ears and your eyes. Four of the studio’s dinosaurs stand on stage — Rex, his uncle Mo, Bella and Frost — and each one sings its own note. They sing you a short song, hopping as they sing; then it is your turn to tap them in the same order. Get it right and they sing it again with one more note on the end, and a little faster.
One wrong note, or a long pause, ends the round. Your record is the longest song you sang back without a slip. Every song is written fresh by our server one note at a time, and every tap is checked there, so the only way up the board is a good memory. The leaderboard is weekly: it resets every Monday at 00:00 UTC.
How to play
- Press Start and listen: the dinosaurs sing a song of three notes, each lighting up as it sings.
- When the song ends, tap the dinosaurs in the same order — or press 1, 2, 3 and 4 on your keyboard.
- Sing it back right and the song comes again with one more note, a little quicker each time.
- A wrong note, or more than six seconds without a tap, ends the round.
- Your score is the longest song you sang back. Sign in to put it on the weekly board.
Tips
- Give each dinosaur a word — “Rex, Mo, Mo, Frost” — and say the song to yourself as it plays.
- The song never changes, it only grows: you only ever need to learn the one new note at the end.
- Each singer has its own pitch. With the sound on, the tune is easier to remember than the order.
- Group long songs into chunks of three or four, the way you would a phone number.
- There is no prize for speed: take your time between taps, up to the six-second limit.
Questions players ask
When does the leaderboard reset?
Every Monday at 00:00 UTC. The final standings are kept: the top three of each week receive an honour on their profile, and your best never resets.
Can I play with the sound off?
Yes. Every note is also shown: the singer lights up and hops. The sound only helps.
Is the song the same for everyone?
No. Our server writes every song fresh, one note at a time, and only adds a note once you have sung the song so far.
Do I need an account to play?
No. Press Start and you play straight away under a guest name. Sign in with an account you already have to put your score on the weekly leaderboard.
